CSPP_SDR_V2.1.tar.gz

Changes common to all instruments:
- Migrated to ADL 4.2.6 / Mx8.6 codebase
- Added parallelization to aggregation
- Fixed bug that sometimes caused failure due to missing Polar Wander file when processing historical data.
- Fixed some minor bugs

=============
Version 2.0.1
=============

October 2014
CSPP_SDR_V2.0.1.tar.gz

Changes to prepare for switch to FSR CrIS data, including handling CrIS FOV deletion and VIIRS M7 deletion. This update is required for all users to continue processing VIIRS and CrIS data after the transition.
- VIIRS M-band reconstruction bug fix
- CrIS quality check is skipped for deleted FOV

===========
Version 2.0
===========

June 2014
CSPP_SDR_V2.0.tar.gz

Changes common to all instruments:
- Migrated to ADL 4.2.4 / Mx8.4 codebase
- Properly handles a data defect that formerly caused a 'tuple index out of range' error. Observed while processing bad CrIS data, but may also have affected other instruments
- added trim option for advanced processing applications.

VIIRS SDR changes:
- Fixed bug relating to use of non-standard NPP DRD names.

CrIS SDR changes:
- Properly handles certain malformed .asc files that formerly caused a "KeyError: 'N_Granule_ID" error
- Changes specific to the CrIS SDR algorithm in ADL 4.2.4 / Mx8.4:
  - Fixed MonitoredLaserWavelength in SDR output (was set to 0)
  - Updated FIR filter response coefficients
  - Changes affecting CMO generation
  - Various other bug fixes including handling bad or missing data and error conditions

ATMS SDR changes:
- Channel 6 uppLimitWc has been corrected in the CCR-14 ATMS-SDR-CC-Int file provided with Mx8.4.
  - Use of the CCR-13 CC-Int settings was found to result in missing data in Channel 6.
  - CCR-13a unofficial CC-Int release from CSPP@SSEC was used to work-around problem in SDR 1.5. No longer needed.
- Updates to ATMS quicklook to use more accurate scene representation by not using a smoothed contour plot.

=============
Version 1.5.1
=============

February 2014
CSPP_SDR_V1.5.1.tar.gz

Changes common to all instruments:
- Unpacks RDRs in working directory instead of system default temp directory (usually /tmp)

CrIS SDR changes:
- Integrated Mx8.1-equivalent changes to instrument line shape and non-linearity correction, in preparation for insertion of the v36 engineering packet into the SNPP data stream, scheduled for Feb 17, 2014. Note that CrIS SDR users should *not* transition to this version of CSPP before the v36 packet is uploaded.

Version 1.5
===========

November 2013
CSPP_SDR_V1.5.tar.gz

Changes common to all instruments:
- Migrated to ADL 4.2 / Mx7.2 codebase
- Built on CentOS 6. Running on CentOS 5 / RHEL 5 is no longer supported.
- ADL binaries contain debug symbols to allow core dumps and more complete error reports
- Changes to screen output from CSPP scripts
- Improved checking for error conditions in CSPP scripts
- Attribute “N_Software_Version” in output files is now set to indicate the CSPP SDR software
  version, currently “CSPP_SDR_1_5”

VIIRS SDR changes:
- Quicklook script updated to allow multiple-swath plots. Now uses Polar2Grid swath reading in order
  to handle larger datasets.

CrIS SDR changes:
- Changes specific to the CrIS SDR algorithm in ADL 4.2 / Mx7.2:
  - Improved robustness in the presence of bad data
  - Bug fixes affecting quality flags: day/night, invalid geolocation,
  lambda monitored quality,
suspect neon calibration, lunar intrusion and invalid RDR data
  - Geolocation improvements and bug fixes. Observed changes in output variable SCAttitude.
  - Various other bug fixes
  - Relaxed midwave imaginary quality check thresholds. Should result in fewer spectra failing the
    imaginary quality check as reported in quality flags
  - Variable ES_ZPDMagnitude in SDR file has been replaced with ES_ZPDAmplitude
- Note that this version (and previous versions) of CSPP are not affected by the 49.7-day SDR
  anomaly that has been observed in output from IDPS. The bug-fix that has been associated with the
  anomaly was explicitly excluded from this version of CSPP.
- Migrated to the IDPS version of the interferogram truncation algorithm that handles full-
  resolution data. SDRs generated from full-resolution RDRs will still be at the current reduced
  resolution; users should notice no change from CSPP SDR 1.4
- Relaxed midwave imaginary quality check thresholds in CSPP scripts to match changes to the ADL
  thresholds
- Added multi-processing capability, i.e. can optionally run on multiple cores. Gains in total
  processing time are limited compared to other algorithms due to the CPU-intensive CMO generation
  step which must occur up-front during normal processing
- Quicklooks improvements: added option to plot imaginary spectra, added option to choose plot type
  (contour or scatter), color scale is set to a standard range for each band, fixed file descriptor
  exhaustion issue observed when plotting many files, correctly plots multiple swaths, added global
  projection

ATMS SDR changes:
- Added multi-processing capability, i.e. can optionally run on multiple cores
- Updated quicklook script now allows multiple-swath plots.
